Funding and supports
Check the support. Do not build the case around it.
Where appropriate, we can screen current Irish and European supports. Eligibility and approval always stay with the relevant agency, and the project should still make sense without funding.
No. Each service is a separate entry point. We will recommend the most appropriate place to begin based on the problem you are trying to solve.
02What makes Prove different from an assessment?+
Discover finds the best opportunity. Prove creates a small working test with an agreed measure of value, using representative examples from your own business, before you invest more.
03Does every proof become a finished system?+
No. A proof is decision evidence, not a finished production system. It should lead to one of three clear outcomes: proceed, change the idea or stop.
04Will you recommend not proceeding?+
Yes. Some ideas do not justify the cost, risk or change required. Stopping a poor investment early is a valuable result.
05Will you work with the tools we already have?+
Yes. We look first at the tools and platforms you already use and choose the simplest suitable route. We do not make the business buy a product just because we resell it.
06Is training a generic AI course?+
No. Training is built around the jobs people actually do, the information they handle and the tools they will use.
07Can AI see information an employee cannot?+
It should not. Access and permissions must be designed so AI does not give someone information they were not already entitled to see.
08What is the Headland AI Authority Map?+
It is the working plan for an AI agent’s role and limits: what it can read, recommend, prepare or do, what needs approval and what it must never do. It also names who owns the agent, who can approve and make permission changes, and who checks its work. We create it with you, configure the controls, test them and train your team. It is included when we build a controlled agent.
09Who manages the agent after handover?+
We agree and train named people in your organisation before handover. An owner approves its role and any changes to its authority, an authorised person manages its settings, and a reviewer checks its output and handles exceptions. One person may hold more than one role in a smaller business. Headland can help with later changes and reviews through separately agreed ongoing support.
10What information do you need from us?+
Usually a representative, approved sample of the work or information involved. Access, storage and retention are agreed in writing before anything is shared.
11Who owns the work?+
After payment, you own the deliverables made specifically for your business. Your data remains yours and is never used to train AI for another client. Headland’s underlying methods, including the Authority Map, remain Headland intellectual property with a permanent royalty-free licence for your use. Third-party software remains subject to its own licence. All of this is set out in the engagement terms.
12Do you guarantee AI Act compliance?+
No. Headland provides operational and technical AI governance and readiness support. Legal interpretation and formal legal sign-off remain with the client’s legal advisers.
13Do you provide ongoing support?+
Yes. Ongoing Optimisation starts at €750 per month and can include improvements, reviews, training and additional work agreed with you.
